WATCH: Rebecca Lou – ‘Bitch U Look Good!’

Having been writing songs since 2015, Danish artist Rebecca Lou has fast been building a reputation across Denmark for her high-octane live shows, including a support slot with rockers Velvet Volume on tour last year. Now, she has blasted into our ears with her seething debut single.

Celebrating body confidence in the face of the prescriptive ideals society often pushes on us, ‘Bitch U Look Good!’ is a riotous, empowering anthem. Filled with the gritty, angst-driven power of Rebecca’s vocals alongside thrashing riffs and a ferocious, frenzied energy, it’s a rip-roaring slice of Riot Grrrl-inspired punk-rock. A perfectly refreshing dose of impassioned self-confidence.

Video Interview: DOLLS

(Originally posted on Gigslutz)

London-based duo Dolls have been on GIHE radar for a while and they should be on yours too. Jade (guitar/vocals) and Bel (drums/vocals) have been performing their raucous mix of bluesy garage rock together across London for three years and have built up a loyal following and excellent live reputation in the process.

They’re set to release their latest single ‘Armchair Psychiatrist’ on October 6th via Roadkill Records and they’ll be playing a free launch show at The Shacklewell Arms (presented by Roadkill & We Can Do It Promotions) on the same date. Features Editor Kate sat down with Jade & Bel to talk about their upcoming single, what they’re anticipating for their launch party, and Jade’s inability to ride a bike during The Nyx’s ‘Firebreathing Lady’ video shoot…

Huge thanks to Jade & Bel for their time. Follow DOLLS on Facebook for more updates, and subscribe to Clark Kents Rock and Roll Revue on Youtube for more cool band interviews.
