LISTEN: GIHE x The Great Escape Festival on Soho Radio ft. Rubie & Comic Sans (01.05.26)

Kate and Mari were live in the Soho Radio studio with a special show dedicated to the female, non-binary and LGBTQ+ musicians who are playing The Great Escape Festival in Brighton this year!

For the first time ever, Get In Her Ears will have their own showcase on The Beach Soundwaves stage on Saturday 17th May, featuring Scrounge, Comic Sans, RUBIE, Maria Uzor and afromerm. We’re also hosting our own after-party at The Bee’s Mouth from 11:30pm until late.

To celebrate this milestone on the show, Tash shared a wonderful pre-recorded interview they conducted with RUBIE, discussing their anticipations for the festival and their upcoming support slots with Jasmine.4.t. Plus, Rachel from Comic Sans dropped into the studio to keep Kate & Mari company and chat through some of the tracks on the eclectic playlist – we packed a lot in!

Tash and Kate were live in the Soho Radio this month, playing plenty of new music tunes from some of their favourite female, non-binary and LGBTQIA+ artists. They spoke about upcoming GIHE gigs in April (Comic Sans and STRAIGHT GIRL), enthused about the artists they selected for their individual ‘Tracks Of The Show’ (HAAi, Eilis Frawley and Tamara & The Dreams) and Tash teased the story of her recent raunchy dream featuring Courtney Love. Lauren and Rachel from London-based queer punk-rock band Comic Sans also dropped into the studio to talk about the evolution of their cathartic single ‘Mr President‘, what it was like supporting Aussie punk icons Amyl & The Sniffers on their French tour date in Toulouse last year, and how Comic Sans has helped them to build a community of like-minded LGBTQ+ fans, friends and allies.

LISTEN: 10 Years of GIHE! Celebrating on Soho Radio (03.02.25)

2025 marks 10 whole years of Get In Her Ears! That’s a whole decade of celebrating women, non-binary and LGBTQIA+ artists in new music! On this special edition of their monthly Soho Radio show, Tash, Kate and Mari celebrate and reflect on some of their favourite artists who they’ve had the joy of connecting with over the last 10 years, plus, there’s lots of love and special messages from the music community that Get In Her Ears are so privileged to be a part of.
