Tash and Kate were back on Soho Radio playing loads of new music from some of their favourite female, non-binary and LGBTQIA+ artists. Mari offered some of her “musical musings” too. They spoke about having a brat summer, Tash’s hectic holiday schedule and Kate’s excitement for Gazelle Twin’s upcoming appearance at Birmingham’s Supersonic Festival in September.

Kate also caught up with Anglo-French electronic artist and GIHE fave Julia-Sophie to talk about her debut album, forgive too slow. Released via Ba Da Bing Records at the end of July, Julia spoke earnestly about the challenges she faced when creating the record and the joy she felt when Sharon Van Etten reached out via Instagram to say that she had been listening to it.

For the July edition of Get In Her Ears’ Soho Radio show, Tash and Mari were in the studio spinning loads of new music from some of their favourite female, non-binary and LGBTQIA+ artists.

In addition to shout outs to festival highlights from Glastonbury and bands to look out for at Deer Shed festival, Tash spoke to The Pink Singers – Europe’s longest running LGBTQ+ choir – ahead of the release of a brand new podcast about them, Sing It Pink, which is out on Friday 26th April via Aunt Nell Productions. Courtney from South London dream-rock band Rats-Tails also joined them in the studio to talk about the band’s latest single ‘Flowers’ and how they shot and created the animated video that accompanies the track. Courtney also spoke about Rats-Tails recent performance supporting HAVVK at The Shacklewell Arms for the March edition of our Get In Her Ears gigs, her band mates mutual love of artists like David Bowie and The Cure, as well as sharing Rats-Tails upcoming gig dates in London and Bristol.
