Nottingham-based artist Nina Smith has now released her latest soul-searching single ‘Run Out’, and we’ve fallen in love at first listen.
Although Smith’s vocals could smooth any hardened heart, ‘Run Out’ hits on the theme of toxic relationships. However, the strong hooks tells us that Smith has a steely-eyed determination on the subject. A soaring intro elevates us almost immediately after hitting the play button before the lyrics cut straight to the point – “When I need saving, you just run and hide.” An instantly infectious sweeping alt-pop gem.
Nina Smith is not afraid to balance vulnerability with gritty reality, which is perfectly reflected in ‘Run Out’.
